How does the City Ride Service work?

When you call for the service, our operator dispatches a vehicle with two drivers to your location. One of the drivers will drive you and your guests in your vehicle to your desired destination. Our other driver follows to pick up his/her partner at the end of the trip.

How much does your service cost?

We charge $2.75 per km within GVR plus $20.00 fixed rate. Our rates are about the one-way taxi fare.

We work all over the Greater Vancouver area including but not limited to Vancouver, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Delta, Richmond, Surrey, Langley, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, Tsawwassen, Ladner and White Rock

I have a standard transmission on my vehicle. Can your drivers operate the vehicle with a standard transmission?

Our experienced drivers can operate vehicles with both automatic and manual transmissions.

I require your services for a birthday party. Can I make prior arrangements?

How can I apply for a designated driver position?

You should have a clean driving record, security clearance, knowledge of the Greater Vancouver Area and a friendly attitude. Please submit your resume and a cover letter through our website or fax it directly to 604-630-7190.

What does a designated diver mean?

The terms designated driver refers to the act of appointing one a person to remain sober, as thedriver of a vehicle, thereby allowing others to be able to consumealcoholic beverages without putting themselves or others at risk. Adesignated driver is a person who abstains from alcohol on a socialoccasion in order to drive his/her companions home safely. It isintended as a safe alternative to DUI (driving under the influence).

How many people can go with me in my car?

Passenger numbers are limited by the numbers of seat belts in your car.

Do you drive someone home if they do NOT have a car?

Unfortunately we can not give rides to someone if they do not have a car. We are not licensed as a taxi, so legally we cannot give rides to people in our vehicles.
